Hello Pet Parents,
For those who have not yet been directly informed, this is an announcement concerning upcoming price changes for Drop-in Visit and Pet Walking services. Firstly, “Drop-in Visits” will now be referred to as simply “Visits” and the service name will be updated accordingly on the website and client portal. This will also be applied for Walking Services; instead of “Dog Walk” or “Cat Walk,” all Walking services will be renamed as “Walk” on the Scout client portal (though not on the website) when booking a walking service for pets.
As for the price changes, all Visits and Walks will now be charged the same rates for their respective times slots, instead of Visits costing slightly more than Walks. This way there is no more confusion for clients who wish to book specific amenities (e.g., feeding with a walk) or among different pet breeds/species (e.g., dogs, cats, horses), keeping bookings simple and consistent. The new price rates for all Visits and Walking services, no matter the requested amenities or type of pets, will be as followed:
- 15 minutes: $15
- 20 minutes: $20
- 30 minutes: $25
- 45 minutes: $30
- 60 minutes: $35
These price changes will be in affect starting Labor Day (September 6th, 2021). Current bookings of Visits and non-repeat Walks will not be affected by these changes, while clients with repeat Walks will expect a change in price beginning on Labor Day. These changes are due to (1) feedback from clients issues and confusion with booking Visits versus Walks, (2) a higher demand for Visits and Walking services, (3) an increase in expenses to continue providing these services (i.e., gas prices, frequent car maintenance, sanitation supplies). All other services and policies will remain the same, and the official Fall Newsletter will be emailed in September as scheduled.
